The event highlighted the importance of early screening and timely diagnosis with a special focus on rare cancer like neuroendocrine cancers, where Patricia shared her long journey to receiving a NET diagnosis, emphasizing the challenges of living with a rare cancer and the hope that comes through accurate diagnosis, treatment and support
The symbolic 10k walk reflected the courage, resilience and determination that cancer patients have to pass through the survivorship journey. The event reinforced a powerful message that, despite the challenges of cancer, survivorship is possible, and that continued awareness, education and advocacy are essential to improving outcomes for all those affected by cancer.
